This may not seem much compared to the incredible efforts of others who run 100s of marathons on consecutive days, over the course of weeks and months, but I saw it as a way to celebrate how much stronger I am physically and mentally.

My past illness should not mean I hide away indoors - instead I want to generate as much publicity, awareness and money as possible for Beat, to inspire others to talk about their experience.
